Greetings! I have been closely following guidelines and protocols for reopening practice as recommended by the California Acupuncture Board and national professional associations and am delighted to reopen my practice – with reduced patient caseload and PPE protocols in place to ensure your safety – starting Tuesday, May 12. My office hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as Friday afternoons from 3-6 pm. Click here to schedule your appointment.
If you have any signs of infection such as fever, cough, diarrhea or have been exposed to someone who may be exhibiting those signs or has tested positive for the covid-19 virus, please do not come to the office. Instead, let’s connect by Video Consultation on a Monday or Wednesday until such time as you are certain not to be shedding virus. Currently the recommended quarantine timeframe is 14 days. You can schedule video consults through my Online Scheduling System.
Office Protocol
Upon your arrival, please first use the restroom to the left of our suite and wash your hands thoroughly before entering the clinic; use a paper towel to open the restroom and suite door handle; a trashcan will be provided for disposal of the towel at entry. Please have a mask when entering the office; you may remove it during treatment.
You’ll notice that certain “feel-good amenities”, such as soft linens and fabric wrist supports will not be used in treatment. I will cover eye-pillows with disposable plastic covering and wrap facial tissue around that, all of which will be changed between patients. Linens are replaced with table paper and vinyl-covered pillowcases that can be disinfected between use.
I will continue to offer Video Consultations on Mondays and Wednesdays for patients who need health advice or for herbs and supplement prescriptions.
I am delighted to return to practice and looking forward to seeing you soon!
